AMA Flat Track: Kenny Coolbeth Leads All Comers in Practice & Qualifying for DuQuoin Indoor Short Track





















Kenny Coolbeth, Jr.'s #2 Chaplin Kawasaki KX450F mounts get some attention in the pit area just before the first practice session of the afternoon inside the Southern Illinois Center on the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds.  Coolbeth bested a field of 55 Expert riders during all practice and qualifying sessions to time in at 11.037 seconds to take fast time for this evening's events presented by Four Rivers H-D out of Paducah, KY.  The 3-Time AMA Pro Flat Track Twins Champ and '07 AMA Pro Flat Track Singles Champion bettered runner-up and 2010 AMA Grand National Champion Jake Johnson by .023 seconds on his #1 Zanotti Racing Honda.  Johnny Lewis on his #10 Scott Powersports Honda was 3rd, followed by Henry Wiles on the #17 Jones Brothers Kawasaki and Sammy Halbert on his #7 Fredericktown Yamaha.

With practice and qualifying action just wrapping up at the DuQuoin Indoor Short Track, Kenny Coolbeth, Jr. bested the field on his Chaplin Kawasaki to take fast time for tonight's showdown inside the Southern Illinois Center.  With a total of 55 Experts timing in, that left 7 riders that had to pack it up and head to Salinas, CA. for next weekend's doubleheader round of TT and Short Track action.
Racing action kicks off in about 90 minutes for round 3 of the AMA Pro Flat Track Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National Championship Series inside the confines of one of the finest facilities in the country.
