Micky Dymond Slated to Compete at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with Falkner Livingston Racing & Akrapovic

Pro Motorcycle Racer Micky Dymond Partners with Falkner Livingston Racing/Akrapovic for the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the Pikes Peak 1205 Division

Colorado Springs, May 7, 2013 -------The 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will feature a dramatic return to the mountain by former Pikes Peak Champion racer Micky Dymond (Anaheim, CA) on a Ducati Multistrada, riding for the Falkner Livingston Racing Team.

The Pikes Peak 1205 division motorcycle racers will face off on June 30 with Dymond riding a Ducati Multistrada, the motorcycle of choice for winning riders in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The project will be managed by Falkner Livingston Racing which is partnered with Akrapovic America LLC for this project.

In 2005, three-time AMA champion Dymond took on the famed Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the first time with remarkable results – the rookie rider won the 750 Pro motorcycle class, becoming only the second rider to become ‘King of the Hill’ as a rookie. When he competes this year, Dymond will have the advantage of past experience as a three-time Pikes Peak competitor as well as the benefit of a fully paved course.

“I feel that a fully paved course will suit me very well on the Ducati Multistrada 1200,” says Dymond.

“The bike is whole lot of motorcycle for sure but, it’s amazing how fast it is and how well it handles. I really love this event and feel so lucky to be a part of this team, on this great bike. It is just So Awesome.”

Ducati’s Carlin Dunne established the all-time course record for motorcycles last year in winning the 1205 field in a sizzling 9:52.819, the first racer to break the ten-minute barrier in the history of the race on Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain.

Dymond will be on hand in the Akrapovic booth to chat with race fans during “Fan Fest” in downtown Colorado Springs, scheduled for Friday evening, June 28th.
