Mid-America Speedway Announces 2015 Season Schedule

Indianapolis, IN. – March 31, 2015 – Mid-America Speedway in Indianapolis would like to announce their new schedule for the upcoming 2015 season, which kicks off next month with the first event of the season on Saturday, April 25 with their annual spring event, the Flat-Track Forums Night (http://flat-track.com/forum/). This year Mid-America Speedway will be hosting and supporting a total of 14 races throughout the 2015 season.

Track president and race promoter Jim Terchila and his great crew will again preside over the racing action at the Marion County Fairgrounds-hosted track, located on Indy's southeast side. “We're looking forward to the new season ahead, and this year includes our regularly scheduled regional races to go along with what will be our hosting of two big premier events at our facility.

“This year's schedule will include our third year of hosting the AMA Vintage Dirt Track National Series sponsored by Harley-Davidson of Bloomington, IN. on August 8 during the Red Bull Indianapolis MotoGP Weekend, and our annual Night Before the Indy Mile race that is scheduled for July 10 and will again see a $1500 payout in the Open Class pro race. This year's race will be held the Friday night before the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship stop at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on July 11,” stated Terchila.

“We are also partnering this year for the first time with the 3rd Annual Hoosier Bike Rally in Frankfort, IN. and we will be running a limestone half-mile race at the Clinton County Fairgrounds on September 12, which will be a part of the three days of festivities over the September 10-13 weekend that will also feature food, music, a car & truck cruise along with our first-ever half-mile race. You can find out more about this big weekend at their website, http://homegrownbiker.com/hoosierbikerally.

“We're very proud of what we have been able to do over the years thanks to the folks at the Marion County Fairgrounds, and in what will be our 8th year of operation we have also updated our track logo for the first redesign in our history to honor local racer and hero Dan Ingram, AMA Grand National #31 who recently announced his retirement from full-time racing. Dan is a long-time supporter and competitor at Mid-America and we wanted to do something special for him to honor his many years of support at our facility.”

The track would also like to remind everyone about the season-ending Halloween race, one of the facility's best-attended events of each year. “Traditionally this has been our 2nd-biggest event each year and it includes costumes and a 25-lap Open Class main event that pays a minimum of $500 to win. With just over three weeks to go before the first race of the season, it's not too early to start marking your calendars and making plans for what will be another thrilling and exciting season of racing at Mid-America Speedway as we look forward to hosting some of the best flat track racers and fans in the Midwest. For more info on this year's schedule, please take the time to visit our website at http://www.midamspeedway.com/schedule.php,” Terchila stated in closing.
